Erich Gruber was born in 1971 in Salzburg Austria, where he lives and works.
He studied at Mozarteum Academy, Salzburg.
In 2012 and again in 2014 the Museum of Modern Art of Salzburg acquired his drawings.
From 2011 to 2021, he was represented by the former Heike Curtze Gallery in Vienna.
Since 2015, he has been presented by the Welz Gallery in Salzburg.
In 2019, he was part of the collective exhibition Intriguing Uncertainties at the Parkview Museum in Singapore.
In 2020 he participated in the exhibition The tip of the iceberg at the Museum of Modern Art of Salzburg.
